Extreme MakeoverBy the Cayman Islands Fund Administrators Association The Cayman Islands Fund Administrators Association (“CIFAA”) was looking for a face-lift for its logo and the Executive Committee decided to turn the task over to a far broader pool of talent in the form of and “Extreme Makeover” logo design contest open to all students in the Cayman Islands. CIFAA is the national association which represents companies that provide fund administration services to the over 9,000 funds domiciled in the Cayman Islands. This active professional body has its own Code of Practice dedicated to the provision of a reliable, first-class service to satisfy specific client needs. This rapidly expanding sector of the Caymanian economy provides job opportunities both directly in the fund administration industry and through related services and professions. CIFAA also provides educational opportunities to Caymanians and residents through scholarships and locally run seminars that focus on the industry and its developments. We reached out to the student pool in the Cayman Islands with an opportunity for some creative fun while giving CIFAA an opportunity to increase awareness of the organisation, the fund administration industry and the career opportunities within our industry. The winner of the contest, Tracey Burns, a student at ICCI, with assistance from son Daniel, a year 7 student at St. Ignatius Catholic School, received a Nintendo Wii for their winning design. CIFAA have also made a $500 donation to ICCI.

| IMPORTANT PROGRAM CHANGESOur accrediting agency ACICS has approved changes to two of our programs. The B.S. Community Services degree will now be called B.S. Human and Social Services. The previously named B.S. Business Administration-International Finance concentration will now be called B.S. Business Administration-Finance concentration. The courses required for both degrees are unchanged. These changes do not affect students currently enrolled in those programs. If you are already in the Community Services program and wish to graduate under that program name you may do so, if you want to graduate under the new program name simply fill out a new program declaration form declaring for the new name. Students in the International Finance concentration may similarly change to the new name if they choose. New students entering the programs effective July 18th will enter under the new program names. If you have any questions about how this may affect you please contact the Office of the Dean.
